What are your normal opening hours?

Monday to Friday:08:30 to 18:00

            Saturday: 08:30 to 13:00

Am I responsible for the London Congestion Charge?

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept payment by most major credit/debit cards, We also accept payments by Maestro and Delta.

Can I hire a Satellite Navigation system?

Yes, we offer Sat Nav systems from only £5 per day. Please request it when making a reservation online. Please click here for further information.

Does the price include insurance?

All prices quoted include Verviers Car and Van Rental insurance which covers our vehicle, passengers and any third parties. It does not cover injury to the driver or damage to/theft of personal effects or goods. For Further details click here

Is there an insurance excess charge?

Yes. An excess will be charged for each incidence of damage. Excess amount is subject to driver qualification. Please click here for further information. Excess waiver may be offered at the time of collection subject to driver qualification to reduce the excess amount.

What documentation do I need to bring with me when hiring a vehicle?

To hire a vehicle, you must bring a valid drivers licence and proof of your address (acceptable documents include utility bills and bank or credit card statements issued within the last 3 months). Please note that drivers with a new style photo card licence must bring both parts.

What do I do in the event of a breakdown?

In the event of a breakdown, you will find an emergency roadside assistance number displayed on the inside of the windscreen.

 

How much do additional drivers cost?

 There is a charge of £5.00 per day for each additional driver. 

 

I have held a full drivers licence for less than 12 months, can I hire?

No, our insurance requires that drivers must have held a full driving licence for at least 1 year.

I am under 25 can I hire?

Yes, as long as you are over 21 and have held a full licence for more than 2 years. However, there is a Young Drivers supplement of £10 per day. click here for more details

Is there any age restriction when hiring a vehicle?

Drivers must be 21 years or over (Standard group upwards 25 years or over).

Can I hire if I have penalty points on my licence?

We can only accept up to 6 penalty points within the last 5 years. If you are in any doubt please call to check before making a reservation. click here for more information

Can you supply vehicles with an automatic transmission?

Yes we have a large selection of automatic models available please contact the branch for more details click here

Is there a charger/power point for my Sat Nav system or Mobile Phone?

Most vehicles have a charge point for electronic devices (phone, sat nav, etc) but some of the smaller groups may not. We cannot guarantee a charge point.

My licence is at the DVLA to be updated, can I still hire?

Yes, but there will be a small charge as we need to call the DVLA when you arrive at the branch. Please bring two proof of address items with you, for more information click here

 

What time do your rentals start?

Rentals can start at any time during our opening hours, subject to availability, and are based on a 24 hour period, for example a pickup at 10:00 on Monday morning would mean that the vehicle should be returned not later than 10:00 on Tuesday morning.

This example would be a one day rental. Please note that there is a minimum two day rental period at the weekend.

We allow a 30 minute grace period on rental returns, if the vehicle is returned more than 30 minutes late an extra days rental charge will apply.

Minimum rental periods may also apply on public and bank holiday

Can I return the vehicle outside your normal office hours?

Unfortunately, no. Due to the fact that the vehicle has to be inspected, you must return it during our normal hours of business, and hand the keys to a member of our staff.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Can I amend or cancel my booking online?

Can I pick a vehicle up at one location and drop it off at another?

No not unless by prior arrangement there will be an additional charge for this service. Please contact the branch for more details click here

What is the mileage allowance?

Cars and vans

200 miles per day 1000 miles per week free of charge.

Excess Charges: Cars 07p per mile, vans 10p per mile.

Do you supply your vehicles with a full tank of fuel?
  • We rent vehicles on a full to full basis whereby the fuel tank is full at the start of the rental and the vehicle should be returned with a full tank.
  • However if the vehicle is not returned with a full tank we will ask you to take the vehicle to the nearest fuel station and refuel it.
  • Failing which a refueling charge of £1.50 per litre plus vat will then be charged.

Do you supply child seats?

 

  • Unfortunately we cannot provide child seats.
  • Please note that it is a legal requirement for any child under 135cms (4ft 5in) and under 12 years of age to use an appropriate child restraint when travelling in a vehicle.

Can I choose the car/van model?

Vehicles may be booked by category only. Unless availability of a specific model has been formally confirmed we only guarantees the category reserved. All vehicle groups and models are subject to availability.
